鸡岛是茂名市最大的岛屿，面积1.9平方公里，是一个迷人的潜水中心，拥有清澈平静的海水，以珊瑚礁和休闲潜水而闻名潜水。皮肤还有深潜和探险潜水。冼夫人庙建于1535年，是为了纪念百越女首领冼夫人部落。那个寺内文物古迹丰富，有古雕像、雕塑、石刻等。
